The En Gedi Vineyard is a small production new single vineyard release with only 70 cases produced. Produced from the tiny En Gedi Vinyard on the east slope of the Eola Amity Hills AVA this is the first single vineyard Pinot Noir we have bottled from this vineyard that we have worked with since the 2011 vintage. Although we do not use whole cluster fermentation often I find this vineyard responds very well to this technique and gives the wine an extra dimension. The wine shows the ripe character of the 2015 vintage and displays the terroir of the site beautifully with a rocky minerality, dark fruit and structure balanced by ripe tannins. By far the most structured wine we produced in 2015 it fits nicely in the spring release.
The Abbey Ridge vineyard is surely one of the Willamette valley's finest and most elegant. The vineyard shows a pure and refined expression of the Dundee Hills AVA, highlighting the bright floral and savory aroma characteristic of Jory soils, with a delicate and persistent finish on the palate. 100 cases produced
