Willamette Valley Chamber Music Festival Concert in our Barrel Room
We are thrilled to kick off the 2023 Willamette Valley Chamber Music Festival in our Barrel Room!
The program will explore some of the many ways in which one’s homeland can serve as an inspiration and inform one’s outlook. It opens with Hawa Diabaté’s exuberant and rhythmic Tegere Tulon, followed by Composer-in-Residence Kareem Roustom’s vibrant Four Dances for String Quartet, which reimagines Monteverdi’s Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda from the point of view of Clorinda, now set as a modern day Muslim refugee arriving in Europe. The program will close with Antonín Dvořák’s “American” String Quintet No. 3 in E-flat Major, a musical reflection of the Czech composer’s time in the United States during the summer of 1893.
Admission includes a complimentary three-wine tasting paired to the musical program. Ticket prices are inclusive of all handling and processing fees.
The Willamette Valley Chamber Music Festival is a celebration of the creativity and beauty that abound in this special place.
Through their partnerships with wineries, winemakers, and composers, they bring world-class chamber music into unique, intimate spaces where you will experience the beauty and craft of extraordinary wine and music hand in hand.
